Artist's Comments

I've had a couple people asking me for tips on getting better at drawing. I thought I'd toss these up here for a bit to give an example of some of the exercises I do. This is just some basic, 30 second gestural drawings taken from video or pictures.

To anyone who's wondering how to get better, this is it. If you aren't doing this fairly regularly you're losing out. They don't have to be perfect, and they definitely don't need to be complicated, just do them. You'll learn things about proportion and shading without even knowing about it.

Anyway! This'll go in the scrap heap after a bit ^_^.

Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine

Courage is not riding into a battle with no fear. It is feeling fear, but riding out nonetheless.

Non-toxic in small doses

Do you use posemaniac for reference :)
I like using that only for the human figures (not hands n such) and combine them with other poses i see in photos and attract my eye.

And now that you mention it, blocking in a bit of that shadow is a good idea!!
